It is our pleasure to announce that we now support CentOS 5.x with Easy Server Management packages. Easy Server Management now fully supports this latest operating system from Linux community. Below is the list of our currently supported operating systems and control panels on the 32-bit platform: Supported Operating Systems: - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3-5 - Fedora Core 1-4 - CentOS 3.x-5.x - Windows 2000 - Windows 2003 Supported Control Panels and Applications: - Ensim - Plesk - cPanel - DirectAdmin - Ensim - Plesk - Webmin Support and management of servers using these operating systems and control panels is currently available under following plans: - Full Service - Full Service Plus - Service Monitoring - Server Hardening and Service Monitoring - Tripwire Security - Pay Per Incidence Support If your requirements do not fit one of the packages, we have very good news for you. In addition to these packaged services, Easy Server management is soon adding custom and complex support services which will cover most widely used operating systems, applications, network infrastructure, security appliances and database administration. Our custom services plans are ideal for small to medium size businesses. You will be able to outsource the entire infrastructure management and helpdesk support to Easy Server Management very soon. Depending upon requirements, customers will be able to avail level 1 and level 2 support services using dedicated staff and / or use staff with specialized skills. Our 24x7 staffed distributed NOCs are capable of monitoring complex networks and IT infrastructure in a proactive manner. Easy Server Management is a Pugmarks group company. This announcement is to inform you of our scheduled coverage for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Holiday periods. The Thanksgiving schedule will be beginning at 1900 (7pm) EST 22nd November 2006 till 0900 (9am) EST 24th November 2006. The Christmas schedule will be beginning at 1200 (Noon) EST 24th December 2006 till 0900 (9am) EST 26th December 2006. The New Year schedule will be beginning at 1800 (6pm) EST 31st December 2006 till 0900 (9am) EST January 2nd 2007. During these times our schedule will consist of monitoring of servers and emergencies only. All non-emergency tickets will be held until our regular schedule is back in effect. The holiday schedule will give our staff a much needed break to spend with their families during this holiday season. As included in your monthly service package with EZSM we regularly update your server with security patches and upgrade to ensure that your server is fully protected. PHP4 and PHP upgrades... As part of this process we will be rolling out critical php upgrades to both php4 and php5 systems starting 09/16/06 1700 est on all supported Operating Systems. Php4 will be upgraded to php-4.4.4-1 and php5 will be upgraded to php-5.1.6-1. If you have a Ensim machine this update will take place at the same time as your other upgrades to avoid multiple maintenance mode instances and minimize downtime on your machine. MYSQL 4.1.21 upgrades... All machines will require essential updates of MySQL to upgrade them to version 4.1.21 to ensure the security of the servers as soon as possible. If you have a Ensim machine this update will take place at the same time as your other upgrades to avoid multiple maintenance mode instances and minimize downtime on your machine. The update from MySQL 4.1.* to 4.1.21 should not impact any scripts on your server. CPANEL upgades... All cPanel servers require a upgrade to the latest stable build 10.8.2. This should have no impact on sites and there should be little to no downtime on machines. This does not affect boxes not running cPanel. PLESK8.0.1... At this time, we are deploying plesk8.0.1.... There is still a serious issue with plesk8.0.1 and dr.web anti-virus. So we are making this a by-request only upgrade. If you wish your plesk server upgraded to 8.0.1, please open a ticket and we will get that schedule for you. This does not affect boxes not running plesk. ENSIMX... All ensim servers require an upgrade to ensimX. This update will take place at the same time as your other upgrades to avoid multiple maintenance mode instances and minimize downtime on your machine. This does not affect boxes not running ensim. WEBMIN... Also webmin requires an upgrade to 1.290. This update should have little to no effect on sites/services. This does not affect boxes not running webmin. ***Unfortunately, we are unable to provide these essential security updates for servers running operating systems Red Hat 7.x and below.*** If your server is on Red Hat 9.x or below and you have not already made arrangements for your operating system upgrades, as per the previous EOL (End of Life) email, please open a helpdesk ticket as soon as possible. Remember, EZSM stopped supporting Red Hat 9.x on 01/31/05. If you have any concerns or special configurations you would like to discuss with our staff prior to this upgrade on your server(s), please open a helpdesk ticket and we will address your issues prior to implementing these upgrades on your servers.
